of ufc 151 show canceled

The UFC canceled its 01 Sep pay-per-view UFC 151 show after Dan Henderson injured his knee and champion Jon Jones declined a replacement fight with Chael Sonnen.

Dan Henderson Jones has since apologized. He tweeted

Carrying the cross for my company's decision. If someone has to take the blame, I will accept full responsibility for the way UFC 151 was canceled. I want to sincerely apologize to all the other athletes/fans who's time and money was waisted (sic). I feel terrible about the way that was handled.

Jones is now scheduled to defend his title on 22 Sep at UFC 152 against Vitor Belfort, has a professional record of 16-1.
