of why pls drive safely

Whenever I see the "Traffic Police Ops. Pls Drive Safely" EMAS signboard along the expressway, I get scared.

Not because I speed. But the sign makes me feel that the roads are dangerous when the Traffic Police are present.

Why do we need to drive safely whenever the Traffic Police are out there catching driving offences? Shouldn't the sign be "Do Not Speed" or "Drive Within Limits" instead of "Pls Drive Safely"?

of hamadryas baboons

There is a new attraction at the zoo. The Hamadryas Baboons. Lots of monkeys monkeying around in the enclosure.

Smart animals. This photo was taken before the sun came up. When the sun came up, some of the baboons leaned against the rocks to take shelter from the sun.

Bacteria hone in on shopping carts - survey
Shopping cart handles are the most bacteria-infested items among some commonly used objects while doorknobs on public bathrooms are not as bad as might be expected, according to a survey conducted in South Korea.

How can shopping carts be worse than toilet doorknobs?

of carparks

I was driving into a carpark at a shopping center last week. I followed behind a car into the carpark. However, it stopped at the ticketing machine for some time. The driver did not insert the cashcard into the ticket machine but just kept waiting at the gantry. After 1 minute or so, 3 cars were already waiting behind me.

I approached the car and knocked on the door. The driver wound down the window.
Lancerlord: "Hi, is anything wrong?"
Driver: "Wrong? What's wrong?"
Lancerlord: "You not going into the carpark?"
Driver: "But the gantry don't want to go up. How to go in?"
Lancerlord: "Did you put the cashcard into the machine?"
Driver: "Huh? This carpark is not ERP one ah!"

Then the driver took the cashcard from his IU and inserted it into the ticketing machine.

Some carparks are ERP-enabled. Some are not. Some use cashcards. Others don't. Can be confusing to some drivers.

[via SG Forums]

I agree with the 9th one.
9. There are also quite a few high-tech barbaric singaporean in sg - They know how to use state-of-the art equipment, use 3g mobile phone and powerful computers but they dunno how to use a simple dustbin or a toilet.

See the rest of the post.

of out of the box

Makanguru talked about this parking encounter. Well here is another parking incident.

This is a BMW parking out of the box. Way out of the box. Possible that the driver was forced to park like that because other cars did not park properly. Chain effect.

of flush free senai toilet

Shot this clip at Senai Airport (Johor Bahru) which is undergoing some upgrading works.

This video was shot inside the airport's new male toilet. The urinals have a constant stream of water flowing down the wall like waterfall. Acts as a flushing system. You just zip down your pants and pee. No need to flush. The waterfall will do the flushing. Flush free!
