US reality television star Kim Kardashian and rapper Kanye West have named their baby daughter North West. The unusual moniker is listed on the birth certificate from Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Hospital, where the baby was born on Saturday. The document does not mention a middle name. It also does not list her hair or eye colour or weight.



Some people may have thought the child's first name would start with a K - like her parents and her aunties Kourtney and Khloe. There was speculation earlier in the week that the pair had named her Kaidence Donda West as a tribute to Kanye's late mother Dr Donda West. But that did not turn out to be the case.
