Banksy Hits New York's Most Famous Museums
Very daring guy! UK artist, Banksy, sneaked into 4 of New York's most prestigious museums and installed 4 pieces of his works.
Dressed as a British pensioner, over the last few days Banksy entered each of the galleries and attached one of his own works, complete with authorative name plaque and explanation. You can visit his site here to see 4 of his works that he placed in the museums.
Got this from his site
The time of getting fame for your name on its own is over. Artwork that is only about wanting to be famous will never make you famous. Any fame is a bi-product of making something that means something. You don't go to a restaurant and order a meal because you want to have a shit. - Robin Banks aka Banksy

this reminds me of tom green. in one particularly daring episode, he sneaked into an art museum, stuck his painting on the wall. using a black marker, he modified his art work right in front of a few surprised visitors. he had to flee when the guard was called in.
ReplyDeletewah, he's daring for sure. I like his work.
