Something is very wrong when I read this Straits Times article about IRAS taking part of the "Progress Package" money from people that owe tax.

PAPa giveth and PAPA taketh away. Some of his children also follow suit. An example. Some of the members of the Raffles Town Club who did not pay their monthly subscription had their accumulated monthly subscription deducted from the $3,000/- refunded by the club.
ReplyDeleteWe read of the plight of so many destitute families. Would be very touched if PAPa could show an example of donating 10 to 20 % of their monthly salaries to those who really, really need help. Someone had said that giving is not really giving if there is no sacrifice. One has to give until it hurts!
the oriental express: Not sure if they give 10 to 20%, will it hurt them or not. Maybe they give 50% also will not hurt. :)
