of can camps have wireless@saf?

Few more hours and I'll be transformed into a soldier.

I hope things will be better than the last in-camp training. But I've been informed that the Commanding Officer of the camp has not been changed. So his rules, I believe, will also be the same. Meaning, staying in for the entire 2 weeks. Weekends are off, no doubt. However during weekdays, we are allowed to get out of camp but all must be back by 2359 hrs.

Damn! Means that will interrupt my daily internet routine.

Maybe I should request to have WiFi access in all our camps. Should put that up in MINDEF’s Unit Suggestions Management Scheme (USMS).

Why not have a Wireless@SG equivalent. Call it Wireless@SAF. Then any NSmen with handheld devices (without camera feature, that is) can surf the net during "confinement".

  1. Can!! Increase the defence budget from S$10b to S$16b. Vivian will change the PA to $150 or less. Taxes will be increased and the soldiers will be 4G ready...

  2. anonymous: No need $16b. The $6b increase is too much and will raise a lot of questions from public. Small amount increase in taxes should be enuf. :)

  3. Argh....

Too late. No more money for wireless@saf.

$500M is used to buy rockets that have a range of 60km. Now, who are we trying to shoot within the 60km radius. Hmmmm....

  6. anonymous: No have leh. We come from poor family. My grandfather confirm don't own any army camp back then. If my grandmother had a chalet, we would have stayed there instead of the kampong.
