The short answer is that West Malaysia follows the time zone for East Malaysia, and that Singapore follows West Malaysia. But it is even more complex than that!

ReplyDeleteI only remember it once around 1980 where we moved forwards half hour to match Malaysia's time. So, I believe there's no babies officially born between 11.30pm and 11.59pm on 31 Dec 1979 in Singapore.
