Outrage of the Week - Canadian Publisher Persecuted for Mindcrime: Ezra Levant faces the Alberta Human Rights Commission where he was interrogated for publishing the Danish cartoons depicting the Prophet Muhammad in Canada's online news magazine, Western Standard, in February 2006. The publication of the cartoon was posted on the online magazine shortly after their initial appearance in a Danish newspaper that led to rioting and protests around the world which drew complaints from Syed Soharwardy of the Islamic Supreme Council of Canada. ReplyDeleteProceedings against Ezra Levant are nothing short of ridiculous, but let's consider the implications for moderate Muslims. This "investigation" will further divide Muslims and non-Muslims in Canada. It will give credence to radicals' claims that the West is at war with Islam. It will antagonize non-Muslims and radicalize moderate Muslims. Regardless of the outcome, once again Islamists skillfully manipulated Dhimmi justice system and came out as clear winners. Thank you, Human Right Commission!
