Heath Ledger, 28, Is Found Dead; Signs Point to Suicide or Overdose: The star of Brokeback Mountain and The Dark Knight was found dead this afternoon in an apartment in Manhattan, according to the New York City police. Signs pointed to a suicide or an accidental overdose, police sources said. Mr. Ledger was 28.

According to TMZ, Warner Bros who is producing "The Dark Knight" issued a statement,

The studio is stunned and devastated by this tragic news. The entertainment community has lost an enormous talent. Heath was a brilliant actor and an exceptional person. Our hearts go out to his family and friends.
