Thao Nguyen is already onto her second album ‘We Brave Stings And All’ and this time around she is gonna take some beating. Her band may be called the Get Down Stay Down but Ms. Nguyen is sure to be on an upward curve once you clap ears on songs such as ‘Bag of Hammers’. Overwhelmingly simple this tune highlights Nguyen’s unique vocals and the power of rackety instrumentation.
