Bolt strikes for 100m world record at New York meeting: Usain Bolt (Jamaica) sets the 100m world record clocking 9.72sec at the Reebok Grand Prix athletics meeting. The previous record was held by compatriot Asafa Powell who clocked 9.74sec last September.
Usain beat Tyson Gay of the United States (9.85) and American Darvis Patton (10.07).
