Tired of getting drenched fumbling with umbrellas while getting into cars? Well, a team of Temasek Polytechnic Mechatronics students has come up with a nifty idea.
Called the "Dry Umbrella", their invention folds upwards, trapping water within. The result is an umbrella that keeps drivers and their car interiors dry. The device, which won a Tan Kah Kee Merit Award, is among 41 projects on display at the polytechnic's Engineering Project Show on Thursday.
