A 22-YEAR-OLD Singaporean female has been confirmed as the fifth case of the H1N1 flu in Singapore, the Ministry of Health (MOH) said in a statement on Sunday. The patient was in the United States from May 13-28 and returned to Singapore from New York via Tokyo on an All Nippon Airways flight NH901 at 2332 hours on May 29. She was seated at row 36. She passed the thermal scanners at Changi Airport as she did not have a fever then. However, the patient developed a fever the next morning and her mother drove her to Tan Tock Seng hospital. She was admitted to the Communicable Disease Centre (CDC) and laboratory tests confirmed her infection the same day. According to the statement, the patient's symptoms are mild and she is in stable condition.
The FHM Girl Next Door 2009 contest started with some 300 contestants then short—listed to 100 and finally 10. And on Friday night, the winner was selected. 19—year—old student Celestina Tiew was named the eventual winner at a glitzy affair at Zirca. She accepted a $17,000 check from Spector’s lawyer to pay for her daughter’s funeral expenses - as mandated by Judge Larry Paul Fidler. The offending segment showed some of the female participants apparently ejaculating fluid from their genitals on orgasm. The film board stated that female ejaculation did not exist, so the actresses must have been urinating. And urinating on another actor on film is banned under the UK's Obscene Publications Act.
The group Feminists Against Censorship marshalled all the scientific evidence they could find to prove that some women do in fact ejaculate. The film board eventually backed down from its complete denial of the phenomenon, stating that female ejaculation was a "controversial and much debated area".
According to Lianhe Zaobao, she signed a franchise agreement with Awfully Chocolate in 2006. Singapore has confirmed its first case of Influenza A (H1N1). The patient, a 22-year-old Singapore Management University student, is currently being treated at the Communicable Disease Centre at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) and is in stable condition. The Singaporean woman was in New York from May 14-24. She arrived back in Singapore from New York on SQ25 on 26 May at 6.30am. She was seated at Row 55.

Mediacorp has been calling up actors and making appointments with them to attend an audition at Mediacorp for an English-language project which has been described as a "still in development drama-dy". This is in fact completely disingenuous.Read the rest of the story here.
In the account that I heard from an actor who attended the audition on 25 May 2009, the waiting time was in excess of an hour and a half past the scheduled appointment time.
When the auditionee is finally ushered into the area in which the audition is supposed to take place, he or she is given several forms to fill out. The area is reported to resemble a badly-constructed mock up of a tv-set. The auditionee will be left alone in the room.
After some time has passed, the auditionee will hear a knock that appears to come from inside the wardrobe that is on the set. There will also be a voice of someone claiming to be locked in the wardrobe, asking the auditionee to let them out. When the auditionee opens the wardrobe, it will be empty.
At some point after this, the crew will burst out from concealment, and announce something to the effect of “Surprise, you’re on ‘Just For Laughs- Gags’!”
I was saddened and angered to learn that this is how Mediacorp treats working actors today. This was a deliberately concocted scheme to lure professional actors into a humiliating trap. The people who attended devoted their time and their skills in preparation for what they believed to be an audition for a role in a professional tv series. Some may have given up other opportunities for work in order to attend. These actors responded in good faith to what they thought was an opportunity for work, and they were treated abysmally.

A change in the awards categorization for the second annual Singapore Blog Awards has attracted a new wave of applicants, some of which are not hesitant to bear a little more skin in hopes of an accolade.
Now in its second year, the Singapore Blog Awards now features awards in 10 categories, up from 7 last year.
Sucaldito, one of the hosts of ABS-CBN’s “The Buzz,” reportedly met with the accident Sunday night and was rushed to the hospital after complaining of “extreme pain” in his bottom. X-rays subsequently revealed that a broken piece of cucumber, about five inches in length, had gotten lodged into the lower end of his large intestine.The cucumber had “bite marks” and was in a “soggy” state.
It was not immediately clear how the cucumber got there.
The surgeons who operated on Sucaldito were tight-lipped and refused to discuss his case with media, citing doctor-patient confidentiality. Oddly enough, they all looked like they were trying vainly to keep from laughing and refused to look reporters in the eye.

Exodus Tyson was playing near some exercise equipment when she accidentally got tangled in a cord or rope hanging from a treadmill, the Arizona Republic reported on its website.

A Spanaway, Washington mother wants answers after some of her daughter's classmates posted a video online showing several ways to kill the girl. The video is a cartoon that was made off school grounds by a group of young girls aged 11 and 12. That video made the rounds on YouTube.Click here to watch the video
The cartoon is called "Top Six Ways to Kill Piper" and it includes depictions of girls shooting her, making her commit suicide, poisoning her, and even pushing her off a cliff.
Beth Smith, Piper's mother, says the cartoon targeting her daughter was posted on YouTube to a Hannah Montana song called "True Friend." Piper is a 6th grader at Elk Plain School of Choice and the girls who made the video attend the same school.

Model and actress Dune Kossatz, 35, of East London was named Miss Bollywood IPL South Africa at a glittering event at the Montecasino entertainment complex in Johannesburg early on Sunday morning.
Kossatz, who had garnered the most Internet votes of 48 finalists selected from each of the IPL games held at various South African venues, was ecstatic at the opportunity to do screen tests for a movie with Shah Rukh Khan as part of her prize package.
Kossatz received a specially made crown from Gitanjali Jewellers containing gold, silver, diamonds and other precious stones from former Miss Universe Michelle McLean of South Africa.

When married real estate agents Scott and Melinda Tamkin read about an episode of the hit crime drama "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" that featured dirty-dealing, S&M-loving real estate agents named Scott and Melinda Tamkin, they didn't need to consult a forensic expert for an explanation.
A house sale involving the Tamkins and a "CSI" producer had fallen apart four years before, and the producer was listed, in the same online description, as the co-writer of the episode.
On Friday the Tamkins filed a $6-million defamation and invasion of privacy suit against the producer, Sarah Goldfinger, saying she humiliated them and cost them potential business "by creating from whole cloth characters engaged in a reckless lifestyle of sexual bondage, pornography, drunkenness, marital discord, depression, financial straits and possibly even murder."
Also named as defendants in Los Angeles County Superior Court are CBS, which broadcasts the series; Jerry Bruckheimer Television, the company that produced the episode; and Goldman, Sachs Capital Partners, which is identified in court papers as a partner in the production.

I go to a private school that is rather strict. Recently, the principal and school teacher council released a (very long) list of books we're not allowed to read. I was absolutely appalled, because a large number of the books were classics and others that are my favorites. One of my personal favorites, The Catcher in the Rye, was on the list, so I decided to bring it to school to see if I would really get in trouble. Well... I did but not too much. Then (surprise!) a boy in my English class asked if he could borrow the book, because he heard it was very good AND it was banned! This happened a lot and my locker got to overflowing with the banned books, so I decided to put the unoccupied locker next to me to a good use. I now have 62 books in that locker, about half of what was on the list. I took care only to bring the books with literary quality.
