Michael Jackson’s Death Officially Ruled Homicide: The L.A. County Coroner has just officially announced that Michael Jackson’s death was caused by "acute Propofol intoxication". "Benzodiazepine effect" was named as a contributing factor. The drugs PROPOFOL and LORAZEPAM (Ativan) were found to be the primary drugs.

According to the statement from the coroner,
The manner of death has been ruled homicide. Cause of death was established as acute propofol intoxication. Other conditions contributing to death: benzodiazepine. The drugs propofol and Lorazepam were found to be the primary drugs responsible for Mr. Jackson's death. Other drugs detected were midazolam, diazepam, lidocaine, and ephedrine. The final coroner's report includes a complete toxicology report will that remain on security hold at the request of the Los Angeles police department and the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.
In response to the coroner's announcement, the Jackson family released a statement,
The Jackson family again wishes to commend the actions of the Coroner, the LAPD and other law enforcement agencies, and looks forward to the day that justice can be served.

TMZ also reports that California Attorney General Jerry Brown is launching an independent investigation into the death of Michael Jackson.

Few days back, Europe’s Broadcast company, RTL, made a hoax video claiming that Michael Jackson was still alive. (link to "Michael Jackson alive?! Seen coming out of coroner's van!" video)


Michael Jackson's body will be laid to rest on August 29, the day the King of Pop would have turned 51, according to Joe Jackson


Elsewhere, fans celebrated the King of Pop's 51st birthday. Google has also created a logo to celebrate MJ's birthday

Sony Pictures Entertainment has also announced a Michael Jackson "This Is It" movie.
Beginning October 30th, the world will have a front-row seat for Michael Jackson's final concert, as Sony Pictures Entertainment and Sony Music Entertainment release Michael Jackson's This Is It.

This Is It is being produced with the full support of The Estate of Michael Jackson and will be drawn from hundreds of hours of rehearsal and behind-the-scenes footage, captured in high definition with state-of-the-art digital sound as the late singer was preparing for his concert series in London. The film, which will also offer select sequences in 3-D, will provide a unique career retrospective and feature interviews with some of Jackson's closest friends and creative collaborators.
