Pilot survives after CF-18 crashes, burns at Lethbridge airport: Capt. Brian Bews ejected moments before his twin-engine CF-18 aircraft exploded during an airshow training in Lethbridge Calgary. The video below was captured by someone at the scene.


The fighter jet pilot injured Friday in Lethbridge when his CF-18 crashed during airshow training is expected to remain in hospital under observation for a few more days, says a Canadian Forces spokeswoman.

Capt. Brian Bews was whisked away by ambulance after he ejected moments before his twin-engine aircraft exploded in a massive fireball on the airfield at Lethbridge County Airport.
