Was married coach involved with national swimmer?: Photos of ex-national swimming coach, Peter Churchill, and a national swimmer kissing each other were reportedly discovered by fellow swimmers in his laptop.

Peter Churchill, who is married with a daughter, went back to Australia last year after he stopped coaching Tao Li, and six months after the 2009 SEA Games.

It is a story that has been circulating in the local swimming fraternity for the last two years.

Did swim coach Peter Churchill get involved in an alleged liaison with a former Singapore swimmer under his charge in 2009?

The New Paper has learnt that the rumours first surfaced at the 2009 South-east Asia (SEA) Games in Laos, where photos of the former senior coach of the Singapore Sports School and the swimmer emerged.

The New Paper can confirm that Tao Li was not the swimmer who was allegedly involved with Churchill.

A source, who declined to be named, told The New Paper that Churchill had lent his laptop to some of his swimmers during the Laos Games.

That was when the swimmers discovered pictures of him and their fellow swimmer allegedly kissing each other.

But subsequent investigations by the Sports School did not discover evidence of their alleged liaison.
