A YEAR after he lost control of his drag-racing car, killing six people, Troy Critchley believes he's still not "man enough" to meet the victims' families. Speaking for the first time since the horrific crash on a Tennessee street last year, the Australian says the incident has shattered his life. In the interview, airing on Channel 9's 60 Minutes tonight, Critchley, 38, holds back tears as he relives the day his car ploughed into a group of spectators, killing six and injuring 22.Watch the news report of the trajedy at YouTube or at Jalopnik.
He is charged with six counts of homicide with a vehicle due to recklessness and 22 counts of reckless aggravated assault. He also faces civil legal action totalling more than $100 million. Critchley lost control of his dragster as he performed a burnout at a Cars For Kids charity event in the Tennessee town of Selmer on June 17 last year.
There is an online petition in support of Critchley.
