Countdown with the world at Boon Lay takes place at Boon Lay Place, hosted by Wendy Zeng and Samuel Chong.

Guest of Honour, Mr K Shanmugam, Minister for Home Affairs & Minister for Law and special guests, Dr Amy Khor, Minister of State, Ministry of Environment and Water Resources, Mayor, South West District and Mdm Ho Geok Choo, MP for West Coast GRC, Adviser to Boon Lay Grassroots Organisations, will grace the event.

The Countdown @ Boon Lay 2011 celebrates its eighth year of birth with the theme “We are the World” that promises all resident party-goers a unique cultural experience.Admission is Free.
Our street carnival will be separated into four sections representing Asia, America, Europe and Africa. An exciting line-up of acts will take the streets; Firebreathers, Mardi Gras Dancers and Japanese Cosplayers are some of the many acts that will intrigue and amaze.
The stage promises to be similarly spectacular. Veteran singer Rahimah Rahim and internationally recognised Taiwan drama king, Chen Zhao Rong will be highly anticipated.

'Molester on the loose' in local cosplay community : SGCafe has reported a man (moniker 'shadowkid14') within the local cosplay community who allegedly molested 13 girls.

This was first revealed in a local forum, SGCafe.
A user known as "Botak_Ahpek" started a thread stating that there is an "alarming rise of female cosplayers being harassed not only verbally, but sexually in real life"....From "Botak_Ahpek" postings, it was known that the alleged 'molester' is an active member of the cosplay community.
Also, there were at least 13 victims, mostly minors.
One of the victims has stepped out and posted a reply in the forum.
She said that the man wanted her to take pictures of her stomach for him and also asked if she would like to see his private parts. She rejected him on both accounts.
Another victim said that she met the man during a cosplay event and he had asked her to sit on his lap. He then touched her stomach forcibly.
She mentioned that there was nothing much she could do, as she was his 'neko' (Japanese for cat).
She also alleged that the man not only touched people's stomach, but also wanted them to touch his private parts and boasted that many girls have done it.
The molester who has been identified by the local cosplay community goes by the username shadowkid14.
