Zune Media Players Crash Simultaneously: Zune 30GB Devices Suddenly Froze All Over the World
In a bizarre tech meltdown, Microsoft's 30GB Zune media player took a worldwide nosedive at the same time on Wednesday. Reports say that sometime between midnight and 2 a.m., the Zune 30GBs reset themselves, powered up and froze on the startup screen. Internet forums are buzzing with Y2K-like panic over the sudden, simultaneous crash. No statement has been made by Microsoft or their Zune.net website...Bloggers expect that the Zune crash will be attributed to a software glitch, not a virus, as Zune 30GB's that aren't connected to the internet have been affected. This story will undoubtedly swell as folks on the western time zones wake up to find that their Zune's are all down.
