Cabinet changes from Nov 1: Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong announced changes to the Cabinet and other appointments.
Key Changes are:
(1) Professor S JAYAKUMAR will relinquish his appointment as Co-ordinating Minister for National Security. Prof Jayakumar will remain as Senior Minister in the Prime Minister's Office.
(2) Mr WONG Kan Seng will relinquish his appointment as Minister for Home Affairs and become the Co-ordinating Minister for National Security (Prime Minister's Office). He will remain as Deputy Prime Minister.
(3) Mr K SHANMUGAM will be appointed the Minister for Home Affairs, and will remain concurrently as Minister for Law.
(4) Mr LUI Tuck Yew will be promoted to Minister for Information, Communications and the Arts.
(5) Dr Amy KHOR will be promoted to Minister of State (Ministry of Environment and Water Resources).
(6) Mr MASAGOS Zulkifli will be promoted to Minister of State (Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Home Affairs).
(7) Mr Sam TAN Chin Siong will be promoted to Senior Parliamentary Secretary (Ministry of Trade and Industry).
(8) Dr MOHAMAD Maliki Bin Osman will be promoted to Senior Parliamentary Secretary (Ministry of National Development).
