The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge look at an orchid named after Prince William's mother Diana, Princess of Wales. Diana had been supposed to visit the Dendrobium Memoria Princess Diana orchid but died before she could make the trip so it was formally named in her absence afterwards.

The couple signed a certificate "William" and "Catherine" to formally name the orchid.
“Vanda William Catherine”. Vanda William Catherine is a free-flowering orchid hybrid specially designed to honour their marriage.
