Mr Brown released some figures on the number of subscribers to Straits Times Interactive. Now that it is not free, it's a huge difference compared to back then. Total so far 2171 subscribers.
Assuming all the 2171 subscribers applied for the $120-a-year subscription, then that adds up to (2171 x $120)=$260K for a year.
Back then, they must have been thinking (280000 x $120)="Fa Da lor"!
I guess they'll still be happy because they're getting another $260K in revenue.
