Go Kimi, Go Juan!! It's the revival of McLaren, baby! Whoot. :D

lisie: Montoya quite suay. From second became third.
ReplyDeleteAiyah, 5 more races only. Montoya should know that Ron Dennis is going to want Kimi to win races from here on now. (despite the no team-order agreement in his contract)
ReplyDeleteafterall, the priority is still Driver's championship first before Constructors (which I think McLaren will win because Fishi is less of a help to Renault than Montoya is). And also because of the fact that McLaren hasn't won a Driver's championship in eons, since Hakkinen won in ..1999?
Yay McLaren!

ReplyDeleteMontoya has declared long ago that he knows his chances of drivers championships are almost nil, therefore he would be more than happy to help Kimi clinch it. Obviously his relationship with Raikkonen is much better than with his previous team mate Ralf Schumacher haha.
After helping Kimi he said it was also important for him to score maximum points - for the constructors' championships. Which is why losing 2nd place is a big thing to McLaren & Montoya as well. Kimi effectivly has only closed the gap with Alonso by 2 points, which originally would have been 4 points if Montoya had not lost 2nd. And hence they've gotten 2 points less for constructors in this race as well, which Renault is currently still leading too. Fisi is a stupid boy but McLaren will refuse to count on his underperformance to win Constructors. And I would not write off Renault totally. They've been showing improvements over the past 4 years while McLaren have only begun a rebound this year (because Adrian Newey decided to run off and play with boats the previous years).
Ron Dennis is a much more pleasant boss than William's Frank Williams I assure you. I think he's been very supportive and understanding of his drivers. Plus he's too much a gentleman to exert team orders on his drivers. Likewise Montoya isn't such a total idiot to sabotage his team mate for no reason - can't say it'll be like this if Schumachers were involved lol

must add team orders are illegal and deemed punishable by FIA regulations. Only Ferrari is able to get away with breaking this rule
