大馬兔女郎．滿載夢想到吉隆坡 葉靜儀：一切成真了Felixia Yeap Chin Yee (叶静仪, 枼靜儀) was born in Kuala Lumpur and raised in Ipoh Perak. A former kindergarten teacher who taught the "national language and hip-hop dance to expatriates’ kids for almost two years". The Malaysian model, managed under Velocity Angels, is also actively involved in pageants and TV shows.
大馬首位兔女郎葉靜儀指出，她帶著很多夢想到來吉隆坡，包括升讀關于外語的科系、騎馬、寫作、賽車及升級成國際女模等，如今夢想成真，做了人氣爆燈的兔女郎。
這位25歲俏姑娘去年參加大馬環球小姐選美會時，設立部落格，在網上寫下關于自己的事情，除了文字，也上載小時照片及與母親合照。
部落格以英文書寫，但至去年5月13日停止上載部落格文章，即是環球小姐選美會比賽成績公佈前數天。

American Idol Crowns Season 10 Champion: A record 122 million votes were cast this week on American Idol. And, after all were tallied, who did viewers crown the champion?

CHERYL Cole has been dramatically replaced as a judge on the U.S. version of X Factor, it was revealed last night.
The Geordie beauty, 27, is homesick and it is thought her place will be taken by former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger.
A senior show source said: "It hasn't worked out. She's homesick and wants to return to the UK. She's had enough. Whether she ends up back on UK X Factor is open to speculation."
Reports emerged today that Cheryl was already on her way back to the UK.
Dannii Minogue, who was forced to quit the X Factor earlier this month, sent a message of support this morning.
Cheryl had already judged some televised auditions in the States after winning her dream job on the show.
Last night's sensational news cut short Cheryls' American dream.
After months of speculation, she was finally confirmed as a judge on May 5 and secured a £1.2million contract. But producers included a get-out clause so they could drop her after the first series if she failed to win over viewers.

Anchorwoman Song Ji Sun commits suicide: MBC Plus Sports anchorwoman Song Ji Sun (송지선) committed suicide by jumping from her 19th floor apartment.

자신이 살던 오피스텔 19층에서 투신한 것으로 알려진 송지선 MBC 스포츠플러스 아나운서의 신원과 사망 사실을 경찰이 공식 확인했다.
On May 23rd, MBC Plus Sports anchorwoman Song Ji Sun committed suicide by jumping from her 19th floor apartment.
Reports read, “Song Ji Sun attempted to commit suicide at 1:44 PM KST by jumping out of her 19th floor Seocho-dong officetel. Authorities were immediately called, and she was rushed to the emergency room.”
Seocho police have confirmed that she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Netizens are speculating the cause to be the recent scandal that she was swept in with baseball player Im Tae Hoon. Song Ji Sun had announced that she had been dating the Doosan Bears player for the past year and six months, but the statement was denied by Im Tae Hoon himself.
On the 7th, she had written, “If you cannot take me to you, please at least give me strength. My heart is in such pain, I am already on my third sleeping pill.”
Her last post written on the 21st read, “I am steering clear of the internet lately. My words… I am so sorry. I’m not that good with computers so I don’t know how to delete my account. I’d first like to tweet my apology. I’m so sorry, but really, my Cyworld isn’t the truth. I’ll reveal the truth soon.”
Netizens commented, “She should’ve thought more…”, and “Our society has once again pushed another person off of a cliff.”

Chijmes roof collapses after car crash

THE roof of former convent building Chijmes collapsed on Sunday morning when a Malaysian-registered car crashed into it. According to the police, a taxi and a car were involved in the collision that resulted in the car crashing into a pillar at the historical Chijmes. A portion of the roof collapsed and police have cordoned off the area.
A spokesman for the Singapore Civil Defence Force said they received a call at 11.14am. No passers-by were injured but a Chinese male, 60, was conveyed to Singapore General Hospital for knee abrasions.
Police are currently investigating the accident.

49. Counting votes
(7E) When the total number of votes cast at polling stations in Singapore for each candidate or (as the case may be) group of candidates at an election in an electoral division is ascertained under subsection (7D), or if a recount thereof is allowed under section 49B, after that recount is completed, the Returning Officer shall immediately act as follows:
(a) where the total number of overseas electors lawfully entitled to vote at the election in that electoral division is less than the difference between the number of votes given to the candidates or (as the case may be) groups of candidates with the 2 greatest number of votes, the Returning Officer shall declare the candidate or (as the case may be) group of candidates to whom the greatest number of votes is given to be elected; or
(b) where the total number of overseas electors lawfully entitled to vote at the election in that electoral division is equal to or more than the difference between the number of votes given to the candidates or (as the case may be) groups of candidates with the 2 greatest number of votes, the Returning Officer shall declare the number of votes cast in Singapore in favour of each candidate or (as the case may be) group of candidates at the election, and the date and premises at which the votes cast by the overseas electors will be counted.

He is the new chief executive director of the People's Association, Mr Yam Ah Mee.
The appointment was made by the Prime Minister and published in the online government gazette on Tuesday.
Mr Yam's term as Returning Officer begins on 1 June 2010.
The former Returning Officer was Mr Tan Boon Huat, who has retired.
