Prepare yourself: The latest viral music hit has arrived. It’s called “The Fox,” a hilarious and maddeningly infectious song by Ylvis, a pair of Norwegian variety show brothers. The video, which involves people dressed up as animals dancing around in the woods while Bård and Vegard Ylvisåker croon ”dog goes woof/ cat goes meow/ bird goes tweet/ mouse goes squeak,” has acquired nearly 3 million hits on YouTube in three days.

Norwegian mass killer Anders Behring Breivik is due to serve his 21-year sentence in Ila prison near Oslo. Breivik will get three cells, in "compensation" for being denied access to activities available to other inmates. Each cell measures 8 sq m (86 sq ft). One is a bedroom.

One cell contains fitness equipment.

The third cell is a study with a laptop fixed to a desk.

SantaCon in Beijing

Foreigners dressed in Santa Claus costumes strike kong fu poses on a sidewalk as they make their way to Tiananmen Square for SantaCon, an annual "Santa Claus convention celebrating cheer, goodwill and fun," in Beijing December111, 2010. Police on Tiananmen Square, surprised by the large gathering of people wearing red, ordered the group to disperse and leave the square while also harassing foreign journalists, detaining one. Tiananmen Square was under tight security as the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony was held in Norway.

Mystery as spiral blue light display hovers above Norway: A giant spiral appeared in the Norwegian skies, followed by a green-blue beam of light which shot out from its centre. The lights, which looked almost computer generated according to some eye-witnesses, lasted for 10 to 12 minutes before disappearing completely. See the photos and video below.

Eye-witness Totto Eriksen, from Tromsø, told VG Nett:

It spun and exploded in the sky. We saw it from the Inner Harbor in Tromsø. It was absolutely fantastic. It almost looked like a rocket that spun around and around and then went diagonally down the heavens. It looked like the moon was coming over the mountain, but then came something completely different.

Julius Andreas Gimli Arn MacGyver Chewbacka Highlander Elessar-Jankov. Norway's Longest Name?: Norwegian website, VG Nett, reports that a bus driver by the name of Andreas Jankov has formally changed his name to Julius Andreas Gimli Arn MacGyver Chewbacka Highlander Elessar-Jankov.

Do we call him Mr Jankov or Mr Andreas Gimli Arn MacGyver Chewbacka Highlander Elessar-Jankov? I'll just call him Julius.

So Julius said,

I wanted to show that it is possible to be serious and at the same time take the name you like. I took Julius after Julius the monkey in the Kristiansand Zoo. He is cool, found a lot of mischief, and is also a very good artist.

All the 7 new names were taken from movies. The movie enthusiast decided to change his name three years ago after radio host and comedian Espen Thoresen changed his name to Espen Thoresen-Hværsaagod-Takkskalduha.
